Welcome to your first day of Spindle nutrition! Throughout this program you will form new habits to help you live a happier and healthier life. Some of the things we will work on might not seem too challenging or worthwhile and sometimes you may want to skip ahead and pick up the pace. Be patient! Each day of this program builds upon itself and is inserted with a very specific purpose. Habits are not built overnight but are formed over time with repetition.

 

For example, let’s say that you are prescribed a medication or vitamin by your doctor. You have never taken medication or vitamins on a regular basis before so it is not part of your daily routine. What will you do to make sure that you take your pills when indicated? You would probably do a few things to make it hard to forget such as putting them near your toothbrush or by your alarm clock. You might have something that you do each day without fail, an old habit. If you buddy the new routine with the old routine, you are less likely to forget right? If there is a room of your house that you don’t visit each day, you probably won’t keep the medication there because you would never see it. Set yourself up for success building that new habit by incorporating it with something you do well already!

 

Today, simply bring awareness to your food and beverage intake. Each time you put something in your mouth, just bring your focus to what you are eating or drinking. You don’t necessarily need to make a change but rather give yourself the non-judgemental space to consider it.
